Biography

Shannon Tenney is an associate attorney with the law office of Renée E. Mura, S.C. She is a graduate of Marquette University Law School. Attorney Tenney graduated with honors for her volunteer work with the Marquette University Law School Pro Bono Society. It was her volunteer work with the Marquette Volunteer Legal Clinic that first piqued her interest in family law.

During her time at Marquette University Law School, Attorney Tenney held various leadership positions, including staff editor, and executive board business and technology editor on the Intellectual Property Law Review. She participated in a National Professional Football Negotiation Competition at Tulane University Law School.

Attorney Tenney served as a student practitioner in the Waukesha District Attorney’s Office. She appeared on behalf of the State of Wisconsin for daily courtroom calendar court, traffic court, preliminary hearings, initial appearances, motion hearings, plea hearings, sentencing hearings, and restitution hearings. Additionally, she drafted case materials such as reply briefs for the Circuit Courts and Court of Appeals of Wisconsin, as well as motions to the Circuit Courts of Wisconsin and Waukesha County criminal cases.

In her free time, Attorney Tenney likes to run, read, and spend time with her dog, Oliver.
